Previously. Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that preparations were under way tripartite meeting representatives from Ukraine, the US and Russia in the first half of November.

Abu Dhabi and Switzerland are being considered as possible venues for the talks.

Last week, the US President’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff held talks with the Ukrainian side in Norway, after which he visited Russia and met with Putin in St Petersburg.

During the diplomatic talks, the parties discussed possible ways of bringing the hostilities to an end, security guarantees for Ukraine and the next steps in the negotiation process.

The date of the meeting between the presidents remains unknown
