Zelensky: Ukraine strengthens air defence amid record drone and bomb attacks
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that in parallel with the work of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Switzerland, Ukraine's air defence system is being actively strengthened. According to him, the last seven days have been among the most intense in the entire period of the full-scale war.
According to the President, during the week, the Russian army launched more than 1050 attack drones, almost 1000 guided aerial bombs, as well as more than 60 missiles of various types. The scale of attacks has increased significantly both along the front line and in the rear regions.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is working with partners to accelerate the supply of air defence equipment and increase the ability to engage air targets. The strengthening of defence is not tied to any negotiation format and takes place independently of political processes.
