President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with the President of France Emmanuel Macron, during which the key topic was the end of the war and the provision of reliable security guarantees for Ukraine.

The leaders discussed the progress of the negotiations, the support of partners and the steps needed to establish a sustainable peace.

Ukraine's position

Zelensky stressed that the war must end as soon as possible, But the peace must be just and reliable:

«Peace must be strong. And today a lot depends on the activity of every leader who supports Ukraine.».

The President emphasised that France remained one of the key partners of Ukraine in the issues of defence, diplomacy and strengthening the international coalition.

Security guarantees and negotiation dynamics

The parties paid special attention to diplomatic efforts aimed at developing formats of security guarantees that would protect Ukraine from further attacks in the future. They also discussed steps to accelerate negotiated solutions to bring the war to an end.
