Russians strike at multi-storey building in Kramatorsk: four civilians wounded
Today, about 13:00 Russian troops attacked a residential high-rise building in one of Kramatorsk's neighbourhoods. The attack wounded at least four civilians, All of them are elderly people.
According to preliminary information from the local authorities, there were no casualties:
men 71 and 74 years old,
women 73 and 78 years old.
They were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds, penetrating injuries and injuries of the lower extremities. The victims were hospitalised and are receiving the necessary medical care.
The building suffered significant damage: windows on several floors were smashed, balconies were partially destroyed, and ceilings and interior spaces were damaged. The State Emergency Service, police and utilities are working at the scene.
Context.
Kramatorsk has been one of the targets of Russian strikes in Donetsk region in recent months. The city regularly comes under fire from rocket and missile artillery, despite the absence of military facilities there.
In previous weeks, local authorities have repeatedly urged residents to follow safety rules and respond to air raid warnings, as Russian shelling mostly occurs during the day.
