New drone attack in the Oryol region: fuel and energy facilities caught fire

On the night of 2 December, Russia's Orel region was again attacked by drones. According to the local governor, the strike resulted in fires at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex in the Livne district.

Firefighters and special services quickly arrived at the scene. The authorities reported that no casualties, and the clean-up work is ongoing.

What Russian officials say

The governor said that the source of the fire was localised. Information on the extent of damage and the type of affected facilities is not disclosed - regional authorities refer to «security restrictions».

Local telegram channels posted a video of bright flashes at the refinery, which is consistent with the official report of the fire.
