Context.
This is not the first attack on civilian or commercial vessels sailing in the Black Sea. Over the past two years, the region has remained a high-risk area for maritime logistics. Damage to infrastructure, danger to crews and supply disruptions have become commonplace, especially for vessels linked to Russian trade.
Analysts say that amid military operations in the region, sea routes are becoming increasingly vulnerable, and any incidents could affect food markets and supply chains.
