Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a new anti-drone air defence command
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the approval of a new command to strengthen anti-drone air defence. According to him, the decision was made to increase the effectiveness of combating drone attacks.

First and foremost, the additional anti-drone air defence capabilities will be used for defence:
Kherson
Nikopol
border communities Sumy region
We are talking about regions that are regularly attacked by drone strikes.
Scaling up protection against the Shahed«
The President said that Ukraine would scale up its system of countering Shahed drones. It is planned to increase the number of interception lines and multi-level defence lines.
According to him, this should increase the percentage of targets being hit and reduce the impact of strikes on cities and communities.
The growing role of anti-drone air defence
Strike drones remain one of the main tools of air attacks. That is why the development of a separate area of anti-drone defence and specialised control is becoming a key element in protecting rear and frontline areas.
Details of the new command's structure and composition have not yet been disclosed.
