Russia attacks Odesa region with drones at night: houses, market and energy infrastructure damaged
On the night of 12 February, Russian troops launched another attack on Odesa region using attack drones.
Damage to civilian and energy infrastructure was recorded in Odesa district. In particular, the façade and roof of an apartment building were destroyed, which led to additional damage to the adjacent buildings.
Fires and destruction
As a result of the shelling, fires broke out on the territory of the local market and supermarket. The blast wave smashed the windows in neighbouring buildings and set 15 private cars on fire.
According to preliminary reports, one person was injured. Information about the victim's condition is being clarified.
Work of services and recording of crime
Rescue units, medics and law enforcement officers are working at the scene to eliminate the consequences of the attack and document another Russian crime against the civilian population of Odesa region.
Context.
Russian strikes on the southern regions of Ukraine remain a systemic threat to energy infrastructure, the residential sector and the civilian population. Such attacks regularly cause fires, destruction and injuries to civilians, increasing humanitarian risks in the region.
