Russia launches massive attacks on Ukraine's port and railway infrastructure
A blow to the port in Odesa region
Russian troops sent drones at one of the port facilities in Odesa region. According to preliminary reports, the attack killed one person and injured six others. Three of the injured are in serious condition.
All the victims were civilians. The strike caused significant damage to the company's infrastructure, fertiliser warehouses and vehicles. A large-scale fire broke out at the site and was extinguished by rescuers.
Attacks on the railway in the Dnipro region
In addition to the attack on the port infrastructure, the Russian army carried out drone attacks on railway infrastructure in the Dnipro region throughout the day.
Such actions are aimed at disrupting logistics, cargo transportation and the stability of critical transport hubs.
Targeted pressure on logistics
The latest attacks are evidence of Russia's systematic attempts to damage Ukraine's transport and port infrastructure. Such attacks are aimed at:
complicate exports and supplies;
affect economic stability;
create additional humanitarian pressure on the civilian population.
Ukrainian services continue to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and record the destruction for further investigation of war crimes.
Conclusion.
Massive attacks on ports and railways demonstrate the enemy's attempt to increase pressure on Ukraine's critical infrastructure. At the same time, the consequences of the attacks once again confirm that civilians and civilian objects remain the main victims.
