Every third member of Generation Z believes that they have psychic abilities. This is evidenced by the results of a survey published on 22 April 2026.
Growing belief in the supernatural
According to a survey conducted among Britons, 33% of Generation Z believe they have psychic powers. This is significantly more than previous generations.
The study also showed that young people are more likely to be interested in astrology, tarot and other mystical practices. Experts attribute this to the influence of social media.
Comparison with other generations
In Generation X, only 14% of respondents said they believed in their own supernatural abilities. Baby boomers are even less likely to hold such beliefs.
Analysts note that the difference between the generations may be related to access to information and changing cultural values.
The impact of social media
The survey indicates that TikTok and Instagram platforms contribute to the spread of mystical trends among young people. The popularity of thematic videos is growing.
Experts believe that this can affect the self-identification of young people and shape new social norms.
