Russian attack in Odesa region
On the night of 26 April, Russian forces shelled Odesa region again. The following were hit port infrastructure, industrial facilities and residential buildings.
The attack damaged the windows of a high-rise building and several private cars. One person was injured.
Fires after the shelling
The hit caused several fires, in particular on the territory of the port infrastructure. The fires engulfed both industrial and residential buildings.
The total area of the fire is being determined. Rescuers promptly began to extinguish the fires.
The work of rescuers
A total of 88 firefighters and 19 units of SES equipment were on the scene. The fires were promptly extinguished thanks to coordinated actions.
The SES continues to inspect the damaged facilities and areas. Information on further consequences is being updated.
