Rescuers report destruction and casualties after night shelling

On the night of 24 April, Russian troops attacked Odesa. The shelling killed two people and injured 14 others. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

Partial destruction of a residential building

Several apartments were damaged and a fire broke out after a three-storey residential building in Odesa was hit. Six people were injured at this location.

Rescuers worked at the scene to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and provide assistance to the victims. Information on the condition of the wounded is being clarified.

Damage to two two-storey buildings

The attack also damaged two two-storey residential buildings. Firefighters rescued one person and evacuated 20 other residents, including two children.

At this location, seven people sustained injuries of varying severity. The evacuees were taken to safe places.

Death of a couple in a two-storey house

Separately, the SES reports that an enemy UAV hit another two-storey building. Two people were killed, a married couple aged 75.

Another person was injured, and 16 residents were evacuated from the building. Rescuers and law enforcement officers are working at the scene.

Rescuers' actions and the aftermath of the attack

Firefighters and medics arrived at the scene promptly. More than 30 people, including children and the elderly, were evacuated.

The State Emergency Service continues to work on eliminating the consequences of the shelling, searching for possible victims and providing assistance to residents.
