On Wednesday night, a Russian drone hit a high-rise building in Dnipro. According to the regional military administration, several apartments caught fire as a result of the strike.
The fire was quickly extinguished by rescuers. The blast wave and flames damaged the living quarters and the building's entrance.
Victims and survivors
According to official information, two residents of the building were killed. Nine people were injured, including two girls aged 9 and 14.
One person is still out of contact. The injured are being treated in hospitals in the city.
Authorities' response and rescue operations
Rescuers, police and medics are working at the scene. The authorities report that the fire has been extinguished and the search for the missing person is ongoing.
The city administration has organised the evacuation of the residents of the damaged building. The victims are being supported by social services.
