Why it matters

Rocket attack on the Dnipro and the shelling of a student dormitory once again confirm the threat to civilians posed by Russian troops. Not only military targets, but also young people studying and living in the city are victims of shelling.

Damage to infrastructure and residential buildings is exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region. Such attacks underscore the need for stronger air defence and international support for Ukraine.
