On Wednesday, 28 October, Nikolaj Koster-Waldau was at one of the stations on the Kyiv Metro during a Russian shelling threat.
Reuters has published photographs showing the actor preparing to wait out the danger in an underground shelter. In one of the pictures, he is lying on a folding bed, using a small pillow.
The Hollywood star’s presence caught the passengers’ attention. Some Kyiv residents recognised the actor and had their photo taken with him.
During air raid alerts, the Kyiv Metro serves not only as a transport system but also as a shelter for the capital’s residents.
The actor was also spotted at a venue in Podil
News of Koster-Waldau’s visit to the Ukrainian capital also emerged on social media. Threads user Vita Zadorozhna posted a photo of herself with the actor, whom she had met in one of the bars in Podil.
The photograph was shared by Ukrainian entertainment publications on 29 October. However, the official programme for the actor’s visit to Ukraine and his scheduled meetings have not yet been made public.
