Fedorov: mobilisation and the NWO are planned to be resolved through the involvement of foreigners

Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov said that the issue of mobilisation and cases of AWOL (unauthorised absence from units) is planned to be partially resolved by attracting more foreigners.

According to him, this is a systematic effort to strengthen the human resources of the Defence Forces.

What is the goal

Fedorov noted that increased foreign participation should help:

- reduce the burden on the mobilisation system;
- compensate for the staff shortage;
- Increase the resilience of the divisions.

Specific mechanisms for implementing the initiative are currently being developed.

Context.

The issue of mobilisation and combating unauthorised desertions remains one of the key challenges for Ukraine's defence sector.

Ukraine has previously recruited foreign volunteers to the Defence Forces, but now it is considering scaling up this approach.

Experts note that the effectiveness of such a solution will depend on legal regulation, conditions of service and the level of training of the soldiers involved.
