According to the State Border Guard Service, the organiser was a 23-year-old resident of Uzhhorod, who enlisted the help of a 28-year-old accomplice. Potential «clients» were sought via social media, and the cost of the illegal crossing was $7000 per person.
According to the investigation, the accomplice transported people, received payments and provided instructions on how to behave in the event of a possible encounter with law enforcement officers and when crossing the border illegally.
