What is being inspected at the construction site and when will the report be issued?

The «Kyivavtoshlyakhmist» municipal enterprise is carrying out work on sections where inspections have not revealed any critical damage. At the same time, the final condition of the entire structure is still being assessed: specialists are carrying out dynamic tests, conducting geodetic monitoring of deformations, observing the development of defects and performing verification calculations.

The report on the results of the survey is expected early next week. Following this, a decision will be made on how to repair the bridge and the above-ground section of the Green Line metro.

During the attack on Kyiv, Russian troops, according to Air Force, deployed up to 16 ballistic missiles «Iskander-M» and the S-400. Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ignat reported that several missiles struck the South Bridge. Experts on the ground are currently determining which of them caused specific damage.

The Underground has restored its cable networks and train services

Municipal Enterprise «Kyiv Metro» has restored the priority cable networks for electricity supply, alarm systems and telecommunications. Train services between the «Osokorky» and «Chervonyi Khutir» stations have also resumed.".

Work on other damaged utility networks is continuing. The municipal services are working round the clock.

Extra commuter trains have linked the two banks via other bridges

Following the closure of the South Bridge, the burden on the other crossings over the Dnieper has increased. «Ukrzaliznytsia» has introduced additional Kyiv City Express services during peak hours to improve connections between the right and left banks.

Trains run in a semi-circular route via Vydubychi, Bereznyaky, Darnytsia, Rusanivka, Livoberezhna, Mykilska Slobidka, Voskresenka, Raiduzhny and Pochaina — in both directions. They cross the Dnipro via the Darnytsia and Pivnichny bridges.

Ten additional services have been scheduled for the evenings of 27–30 October, and a further six for the mornings of 28–30 October. Ukrzaliznytsia has stated that, together with regular services, the frequency of services during peak hours on this route will be every 15 minutes.

Fare increases for taxis have been capped during service disruptions

The Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Economy have reached an agreement with Bolt, Uklon, Uber and OPTI on limiting sharp increases in taxi fares during air raid alerts, metro service suspensions and other emergencies.

The maximum fare increase has been set at 75% of the basic fare. If a standard journey costs 200 hryvnias, the price under these circumstances must not exceed 350 hryvnias.
