History of the Unmanned Systems Forces

The unmanned systems forces were formed on 11 June 2025. In a year, they have become one of the key units in the fight against Russian aggression. Commander of the SBS Robert «Magyar» Brovdi reported on the verified destruction of more than 100,000 Russian soldiers as of 4 June 2026.

Scale of targets destroyed

In total, 12 units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated more than 350,000 enemy targets. Among them are 248 air defence units, 817 tanks, 1379 armoured personnel carriers, 4,890 artillery pieces, 342 self-propelled artillery systems, and 281 multiple rocket launchers. The impact of the SAF on the course of hostilities

High effectiveness of unmanned systems forces has significantly strengthened Ukraine's defence potential. The destruction of a large number of enemy military equipment and manpower complicates the possibilities of offensive operations. This demonstrates the importance of innovative technologies in modern warfare.

Future plans

The Commander of the Armed Forces announced an ambitious plan for the next year - to destroy 650,000 enemy targets, including 200,000 soldiers. This scale indicates a further increase in the capacity and role of unmanned systems in the war.

Significance for Ukraine's defence

The results of the SSU's activities demonstrate how modern technologies can change the balance of power on the battlefield. Unmanned systems units are becoming critically important for deterring aggression and ensuring the country's security.
