This is not the first time the «We Are Ukraine» editorial office has been vandalised»
The television stations’ premises have already been damaged as a result of the Russian attack 20 August 2026.
The shockwave caused damage to the entrances, windows, the studio, the technical infrastructure and the editorial team’s workspaces. No staff members were injured during that attack.
The latest attack had far more serious consequences — this time there are casualties, and part of the building has been damaged.
The attack took place following a large-scale night-time shelling of Kyiv
The attack on the TV channel took place just a few hours after Russia’s large-scale night-time attack towards the capital.
On the night of 8 September, the Russian Federation launched ballistic, cruise and anti-ship missiles, as well as attack drones, against Ukraine. In Kyiv, as a result of the night-time attack two people were killed, the number of people affected later rose to at least 16. More than fifty buildings were damaged, including residential blocks, a hall of residence, a school, shops, a petrol station and a factory.
The daytime strike on the editorial office was thus a continuation of the series of Russian attacks on Kyiv on 8 September.
