On the night of 2 June 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces conducted a series of strikes on a number of important military and industrial facilities of the occupiers in Russia and the temporarily occupied territories. Among the victims were one of the largest oil refineries in southern Russia, Ilyich, and the Pantsyr-S1 anti-aircraft system in Crimea. These strikes caused significant damage and fires.

Damage to oil refineries in Russia
On the night of 2 June, the Ukrainian Defence Forces attacked the Ilyich oil refinery in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. The refinery is one of the largest in the south of the country with a refining capacity of about 6.6 million tonnes of oil per year. They also hit an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) depot in Shakhtarsk district of Donetsk region and UAV control points in Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
According to reports, on the night of 1 June, an occupier's ship was hit near Mizhvodne in Crimea. Preliminarily, it is a demagnetisation vessel, and the results are being clarified.
Attacks on concentrations of manpower
Ukrainian troops also struck at enemy concentrations near Shyrokyne, Berestka and Komar in Donetsk region, Maliivka in Dnipropetrovs'k oblast and Lokota in Kursk oblast of Russia. These actions are aimed at significantly weakening the defence capabilities of the occupiers in key regions.
