A Russian-flagged ship carrying Ukrainian wheat has left the Israeli port of Haifa. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that it was no longer possible to detain the vessel.

According to the journalist Axios, On 15 March, a ship flying the flag of the Russian Federation carrying Ukrainian grain left the Israeli port of Haifa. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs knew about the cargo two weeks before it arrived, but did not take any measures to detain it.
Israel's official position
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Gideon Saar sent a text message to his Ukrainian counterpart stating that the ship had already left the port and could not be detained. The agency confirmed that the situation got out of control after the ship left Haifa.
Reaction of the Ukrainian side
An Axios journalist reports that high-ranking Ukrainian officials have asked Israel to confiscate the wheat cargo. The Ukrainian side has clearly expressed its position on the need for such actions.
