Netanyahu has stated his intention to bring the operation against Iran to a close

The Israeli Prime Minister emphasised that previous military operations had not eliminated the Iranian threat once and for all. According to him, cooperation with Donald Trump is to ensure the successful completion of this mission.

Netanyahu had previously stated that the US and Israel had inflicted significant damage on Iran’s nuclear programme, however Tehran leaves open the possibility of its restoration.

The US has warned its allies of a possible resumption of the war

According to a report in *The Wall Street Journal* on 28 October, the US administration has informed several Arab states in the Persian Gulf, via diplomatic and military channels, of the need to prepare for a likely short but intense campaign against Iran.

The US military is already replenishing its ammunition stocks, preparing bombers and fighter jets, and strengthening its missile defence.

In particular, a system is being deployed to the region Patriot from Texas. Next month, the US force may be reinforced by an additional aircraft carrier strike group and a Marine Corps unit.

Trump is considering strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities

According to sources speaking to the WSJ, the US President is leaning towards a large-scale military operation following the congressional elections. Iranian infrastructure and nuclear facilities are cited among the potential targets. However, Trump has not yet made a final decision on launching strikes. A diplomatic agreement with Tehran remains an alternative.

The White House declined to comment on possible military plans, emphasising that the President is keeping all options open to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

For its part, Iran has warned of a harsh response in the event of a further attack, including possible strikes on economic and civilian targets in the region.
