Hungary is planning another provocation against Ukraine aimed at creating a diplomatic conflict. Information about the tasks that Viktor Orban asked the head of the Hungarian delegation Gabor Cepek.
Tasks of the Hungarian delegation in Ukraine
According to the information, a delegation arriving in Ukraine without an official invitation must request permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine to visit the Druzhba oil pipeline. This is a strategic facility, access to which is strictly controlled, and visits without prior approval are a violation of diplomatic protocol.
The purpose of the visit and its outcome
Since the visit was not agreed upon, the denial of access to the facility is obvious. However, sending a delegation is intended to create the right «picture» for voters in Hungary. After that Viktor Orban plans to accuse Ukraine of refusing to resolve the issue diplomatically, which could increase tensions between the two countries.
This incident once again highlights the complexity of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations amid geopolitical challenges and reminds us of the need to pay close attention to the security of strategic infrastructure.
