Yulia Tymoshenko calls for the establishment of minimum pension at UAH 6,400. She and the Batkivshchyna team are preparing relevant amendments to the budget and a petition to the president.

Demand for an increase in the minimum pension

Yulia Tymoshenko insists on setting a minimum pension of 6400 UAH, which corresponds to the subsistence level. According to her, almost 9 million pensioners are forced to survive on payments below this amount.

Preparation of amendments and petitions

Tymoshenko and her team are already working on amendments to the state budget. They are also planning to launch a nationwide petition to the president to ensure that pensioners receive a minimum pension of UAH 6,400.

Criticism of the distribution of budget funds

Yulia Tymoshenko said that 175 billion hryvnias of budget funds are being channelled through the National Bank to enrich private banks. She stressed that these funds could have been used to ensure a legal minimum pension, rather than for banking corruption.
