In Cherkasy A 31-year-old man detonated a hand grenade near the entrance to a residential building. He died from his injuries before paramedics arrived.
Circumstances of the event
According to the press service of the Cherkasy Oblast National Police, the incident occurred on 14 March at around 20:30 on Nadpilna Street. It has been preliminarily established that after a domestic conflict, the man went outside and detonated a hand grenade.
The tragedy occurred at the entrance of a residential building. The 31-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries from the explosion and died before paramedics arrived.
The work of law enforcement
The investigative team of the Cherkasy District Police Department, explosives experts, a forensic laboratory and other relevant services are working at the scene.
Experts seized the remains of the explosive device. They will be sent for examination to establish the circumstances of the explosion.
