Context.
Russia has been pursuing a policy of resettlement in the occupied territories since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly announced attempts to change the demographic composition of the region.
International organisations condemn such actions as a violation of international law. There has been no official comment from the Russian side so far.
