24 March marked the 1490th day of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, the following was recorded 168 combatants clashes on different frontlines. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy's offensive and inflict significant losses on them.
Scale of hostilities and enemy attacks
Over the past day, Russian troops carried out one missile attack, firing four missiles, and 75 air strikes using 255 guided aerial bombs. The occupiers used 9,027 kamikaze drones and fired 3,727 times at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas, including 86 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Bachivsk (Sumy region), Prosyana, Oleksiivka, Ivanivka, Pokrovske, Oleksandrivka (Dnipropetrovska region), Verkhnya Tersa, Vozdvyzhivska, Babashy, Danylivka, Zalivne, Hulyaypillia, Orikhove, Dolyna and Omelnyk (Zaporizhzhia region).
Situation on the frontline
On the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions 13 combat engagements took place, 85 attacks were registered, three of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems. In the South Slobozhansky sector, the enemy stormed positions near Vovchansk, Vovchansky Khutor, Staritsa and Okhrimivka five times.
In the Kupyansk direction the aggressor attacked six times near Petropavlivka, Borivska Andriivka, Novoplatonivka and Bohuslavka. In the Lyman sector, five enemy attacks took place in the areas of Lyman, Dibrova and Droysheve. In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped seven enemy advance attempts in the areas of Yampil, Rai Oleksandrivka, Platonivka and Riznykivka.
In the Konstantinovka direction 17 attacks were registered near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Kleban-Byk, Sofiyivka, Ivanopillia and in the direction of Novopavlivka. In the Pokrovsk sector, 34 enemy assaults were repelled in the areas of Toretske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Filiya, Udachne, Molodetske, Novooleksandrivka and Svitne.
In the Oleksandrivske direction ten attacks were recorded near Oleksandrohrad, Stepove, Novohryhorivka, Krasnohirske and Zlahoda. In the Huliaipol sector, 18 attacks were registered in the areas of Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipol, Varvarovka, Zelene, Svyatopetrivka and Myrne. No active offensives were recorded in the Orikhivsk sector.
On the Prydniprovskyi direction Ukrainian troops repelled one attack near Belogrudy Island. There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
Actions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces
Aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck six areas of enemy concentration. A control centre for unmanned aerial vehicles and an occupant command and observation post were also destroyed.
Ukrainian defenders are putting up effective resistance in all areas of the frontline and continue to systematically destroy the aggressor's forces.

Large-scale armed Russian aggression against Ukraine has been going on for 1490 days. The occupiers continue to try to improve their tactical position, using various types of weapons and massive attack tactics.
Ukraine's defence forces remain resilient, repelling enemy attacks and inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment.
