Budapest has announced Cessation of gas exports to Ukraine. The reason for this was the suspension of oil pumping through Druzhba. The supply can only be resumed once the pipeline is back online.
Gas supply has been stopped
Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban announced that the country had stopped supplying gas to Ukraine. This decision was made due to the suspension of oil pumping through the Druzhba pipeline.
Gas exports will resume only after the oil pipeline is reopened. Orban stressed that supplies will remain blocked until oil transit is fully restored.
Conditions for the resumption of exports
Budapest is demanding the resumption of oil pumping through Druzhba to return to normal gas supplies. The Hungarian side does not specify when exactly the pipeline might resume operations.
The decision applies only to gas exports to Ukraine, while domestic consumption in Hungary remains unaffected.
