The SBU exposed FSB agents who planned to commit large-scale terrorist attacks in Kyiv and Zhytomyr. The detainees were assembling explosives in their apartments under the instructions of a Russian supervisor. The SBU calls on citizens to report suspicious actions.
Planning terrorist attacks
The SBU reported the detention of two women who acted on the orders of Russian special services. They are Preparing explosions in Kyiv and Zhytomyr in order to spread panic among the population.
According to the investigation, both detainees were looking for «easy money» on social media. They were offered a job by a curator from Russia, who provided instructions on how to make explosive devices.
SBU actions and statistics
The SBU had been monitoring the suspects for about a month and uncovered the enemy's plan in advance. The agents were detained at the final stage of preparation of the attacks.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the SBU has exposed more than 1,000 people who collaborated with Russian curators. In 2025, 163 explosive attacks were prevented.
