Last night, the enemy launched a series of attacks on Sumy using attack drones. As a result of the hits on a 16-storey building and a private sector, a large-scale fire broke out, which was quickly extinguished by rescuers. Seven people have been reported injured, including one child.
A blow to the high-rise and private sector
A 16-storey residential building and a private residential sector were hit by a UAV attack on Sumy today. The explosions caused a massive fire on the upper floors of the high-rise building, as well as damage to private homes.
Prompt evacuation and fire fighting
The rescuers quickly evacuated the residents of the burning high-rise building using special equipment for working at height. Thanks to their coordinated actions, the fire was completely extinguished.
Assistance to victims and examination of impact sites
According to preliminary reports, seven people were injured in the attack, including one child. All victims are being provided with the necessary medical and psychological assistance. The impact sites were examined at four different addresses to identify additional damage and minimise risks to residents.
