Data on the massive lack of declared real estate among Ukrainian civil servants has been published. Over the past year, 64,000 officials have officially indicated «homelessness» in their declarations.

Scale of the phenomenon among civil servants

According to official sources, 64,000 Ukrainian civil servants have declared that they did not own their own housing over the past year. Most of them are representatives of local authorities and utility companies - 9,500 people.

Law enforcement officers and military personnel also declare «homelessness» in large numbers - 7,300 people in each category. This trend has been going on for at least two years for 46,000 officials. This was reported by Ukrainian Pravda.

Judges and employees of the Office of the President without housing

At least seven judges declared no property in their declarations. There were also nine cases of employees of the Presidential Office who did not declare any property.

The absence of information on housing in the declarations of high-ranking officials draws attention to the transparency and reliability of the data provided.

Dynamics in recent years

According to published data, 46,000 civil servants have declared themselves «homeless» for at least two years in a row. The highest number of such cases was recorded among representatives of local authorities, utility companies, law enforcement officers, military personnel and judges.

This situation may affect the credibility of the electronic declaration and requires further analysis.

Context and public reaction

The massive absence of declared real estate among civil servants has become a subject of public discussion. Experts note that this data may indicate both real problems with housing and possible attempts to conceal property.
