Large-scale power outages in Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, a large part of the city was left without electricity due to bad weather. According to media reports, many areas of the regional centre are without power and there are also interruptions in the region. The power outage caused a complete shutdown of the metro, which led to a transport collapse in the city.

Residents of Kharkiv report difficulties with access to the internet, mobile communications and other utilities. City services are trying to respond quickly to the situation, but the scale of the accident makes it difficult to restore power supply.

Situation in Kyiv region: tens of thousands without electricity

The bad weather left about 60,000 customers without electricity in the Kyiv region. This was reported by the energy company DTEK. The blackouts affected both urban and rural areas of the region.

Specialists are working to localise the accidents and restore power supply. However, due to severe weather conditions, the response time may be extended. Residents are urged to follow safety rules and stay at home if possible.

Lviv region: more than a hundred settlements without electricity

In the Lviv region, 103 settlements are currently without power supply due to the weather. Of these, 21 settlements are completely cut off, and 82 are partially cut off. This was reported by the regional military administration.

Power engineers are working to restore power supply, but the process is complicated due to the extensive network and weather conditions. The authorities are urging people to be careful and follow official information on the restoration of services.

Why it matters

Massive power outages affect critical infrastructure, transport and communications. Lack of electricity in major cities such as Kharkiv leads to a shutdown of the metro, disruptions in the operation of hospitals, banks and other important institutions.
