Today, 10 May 2026, no massive missile or air attacks have been recorded, but the situation in the frontline areas remains tense. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Russian army has carried out more than 150 assault operations and more than a hundred attacks over the past two days.

Situation at the front: new data from Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that there were no massive missile or air attacks by Russia. However, the communities near the frontline have not experienced calm. According to the Head of State, Russian troops continue to actively attack in key areas.

More about the situation at the front can be found in the section “War in Ukraine”. Over 150 enemy assaults, more than a hundred shelling attacks, and almost ten thousand kamikaze drone strikes were recorded yesterday and today. This indicates that the Russian army does not comply with the ceasefire and has no plans to reduce the intensity of hostilities.

Actions of Ukrainian units

Ukrainian military units respond in kind to all enemy attempts to break through the defences. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine's defenders are acting exactly as the situation at the front requires. All positions are being held, and the defence remains strong even in the most difficult areas.

The President stressed that Ukraine had refrained from long-range actions over the past 24 hours. However, in the event of an escalation by Russian troops, Ukraine is ready to respond firmly and promptly, using all available capabilities to repel the aggression.

Russian tactics and the Ukrainian response

The Russian army, despite the absence of massive attacks, does not reduce intensity of attacks in certain areas. According to the President, Ukrainian troops are responding, defending their positions and preventing the enemy from achieving their goals.

Ukraine is demonstrating clarity and honesty in its actions. If the Russians return to full-scale attacks or try to expand the fighting, the response will be immediate and tangible for the enemy. The Ukrainian side has already proven its ability to operate at a great distance, and this is becoming less of an obstacle to responding to threats.

Why it matters

The current situation on the frontline shows that the Russian army has no intention of stopping, even though there are no missile or air strikes. This creates a constant danger for the residents of frontline communities and requires the Ukrainian military to mobilise to the maximum.

Ukraine demonstrates its readiness to respond quickly and firmly in case of further escalation. The absence of massive attacks does not mean that the tension has eased - the fighting continues, and every day brings new challenges for the country's defence.

It remains important to inform citizens about the real state of affairs at the frontline, as the situation is changing every day and security depends on the efficiency and determination of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
