Trump begins Middle East tour
At 10:00 a.m. local time US President Donald Trump's plane lands at Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.
He was met at the airport by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, followed by a short welcoming ceremony.
Trump's visit to Israel was the first stage of his Middle East tour, dedicated to security and stabilisation of the situation in the region.
Talks and a speech in parliament are planned
According to local media, Trump will hold a closed meeting with the leadership of Israel, He will discuss military cooperation, defence support and prospects for ending the hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
It is also planned to the speech of the American president to the members of the Knesset, where he is expected to present the renewed US peace initiative to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestinian groups.
Next stop - the summit in Sharm el-Sheikh
After his visit to Israel, Donald Trump will head to Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, where the Regional summit on security and settlement in the Gaza Strip.
Representatives of several Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, are expected to attend.
The main purpose of the meeting is to Develop steps to end the violence and provide humanitarian support to the civilian population.
