The Security Service of Ukraine, in conjunction with other units of the Defence Forces, has carried out strikes on strategic fuel infrastructure targets deep within Russian territory. The Nizhny Novgorod oil refinery, one of the largest in the country, has been targeted by Ukrainian forces, which could significantly affect fuel supplies to the Russian military.
