The Russians have destroyed the «Bohodukhiv Dairy», according to the company’s director, Dmytro Murashkin. The latest attack caused critical damage to the plant, making it impossible to resume production at present. The plant had been operating until at least 2026 and was one of the largest contributors to personal income tax revenue in the Bohodukhiv community.

Briefly about the main points

  • Director Dmitry Murashkin reported that the Russians had destroyed the dairy.
  • The latest attack caused critical damage to the plant.
  • It is not possible to resume production at present.
  • In 2025, the factory paid 14.566 million UAH in personal income tax.
  • The suspension could affect milk processing and the community’s income.

Production has been halted

Dmytro Murashkin described the damage sustained by the «Bohodukhiv Dairy» as critical. According to him, following the latest attack, there is currently no way of getting the plant back up and running.

The factory had a wide range of products. Its website states that the company produced ultra-pasteurised and fermented milk products, butter, hard, soft and processed cheeses, as well as condensed products. Quality control was ensured by chemical and bacteriological laboratories and the HACCP system.

The company was founded in 1969.

A blow to the local authority’s tax base

The destruction of the factory may have an impact not only on the production of dairy products. According to a report by the Bohodukhiv City Council, in 2025, Bohodukhiv Dairy Plant Ltd contributed 14.566 million UAH in personal income tax revenue to the local authority’s budget — 4.544 million UAH more than the previous year.

The dairy was one of the community’s nine largest personal income tax payers. Together, these taxpayers accounted for 39% of revenue from this tax, which is the main source of the local budget’s general fund: in the forecast for 2026, its share was estimated at 61%.

The closure of the plant could have two consequences: it would halt milk processing and the supply of finished products, and it would also reduce the local authority’s tax base.

Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region

Bohodukhiv and the area are systematically coming under Russian attack. In particular, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported in its summary for 1 July 2026 that people had been wounded in the city and that a warehouse, a shop, a petrol station, cars and a tractor had been damaged.
