A Russian strike completely destroyed the warehouse complex of the Ukrainian ice-cream manufacturer «Lasunka». The fire destroyed all the finished products that were being prepared for dispatch to shops in various regions of Ukraine, the company reported. The manufacturer has warned customers and partners of possible temporary shortages of certain types of ice cream in retail chains.

The finished products did not reach the shops
«Lasunka» reported on the consequences of the attack on its official page. According to the company’s statement, the warehouse complex was completely destroyed, and the fire destroyed products that were already ready for dispatch.
This poses a problem for the upcoming deliveries: the stock that was due to be delivered to retail chains is no longer available. The company has apologised to customers and partners for the unavoidable delays.
«Our ice cream may not be available on shop shelves for the time being. The enemy may destroy our property and our buildings, but they will never destroy our resilience or your trust in us,» said Lasunka. According to the manufacturer, it is working to overcome the consequences of the attack and get its products back onto the shelves.
Recovery will depend on logistics
«Lasunka» comprises four companies, has production sites in Dnipro and Ternopil, and operates separate logistics operations, according to the company’s website. Therefore, the destruction of the warehouse does not automatically mean that the entire group will cease operations; however, resuming deliveries will require replacing the lost link in the supply chain.
For businesses that have suffered damage as a result of Russian aggression, the state provides for recovery programmes. In particular, grants for processing enterprises can amount to up to 16 million UAH for equipment, whilst the separate «5-7-9» scheme provides preferential loans for reconstruction. Participation in these programmes is subject to the conditions and decisions of the relevant authorities.
From April 2026, Ukrainian businesses may submit claims to the International Register of Damages regarding destroyed assets, loss of profit from those assets and other direct costs. Such a claim forms the evidence base for a future compensation mechanism, but does not constitute an automatic payment of compensation.
The company has stated that it will continue to operate despite the losses it has suffered.
