A man was killed and a further 13 people were injured as a result of a combined missile and drone attack on Kryvyi Rih on the night of 16 August. The strikes hit two industrial sites. Eleven of the injured were hospitalised; five remain in hospitals in the city, and a 48-year-old man is in a critical condition.

Two people injured during the day’s attack on the city the previous day remain in hospital. One of them is in a serious condition; medical staff are providing treatment to all the injured.
Residents of the Metallurgical District are being provided with building materials
At least 12 blocks of flats in the Metallurgical District have been damaged. A relief centre has been set up at the nearest school, where residents can collect building materials and apply for financial assistance from the city.
Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are continuing, with the necessary services being deployed. Public transport, hospitals, social services and other municipal services are operating as normal.
Communities in the Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts were also targeted
In the Kryvyi Rih district, the Shyrokyvska and Hrushevska communities came under attack, resulting in fires. There were no casualties there.
The communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk, Myrivka, Pokrovsk and Chervonohryhorivka in the Nikopol district were also attacked by drones and artillery. A 55-year-old man was injured; infrastructure, a business premises, a block of flats and a private home were damaged.
