Drones struck a border crossing on the border with Moldova

According to the State Border Guard Service, the attack took place during the night. Russian attack drones struck buildings and other infrastructure at the international road border crossing point. The «Starokozache – Tudora» stop is situated in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District, Odesa Oblast and provides road transport connections between Ukraine and Moldova.

The most serious consequence of the attack was the loss of life amongst people who were near the checkpoint at the time of the strike.

Russia continues to carry out strikes on civilian infrastructure

The attack on the border post was yet another strike by the Russian Federation against civilian transport infrastructure.

The day before, on 8 September, Russian forces attacked Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine with missiles and drones. Passenger trains and other civilian targets were also hit. Reuters reported that there were fatalities and dozens of casualties as a result of the massive attack.
