Russia has destroyed a house in Zaporizhzhia: two people have died and others have been injured

Rescue workers recovered the bodies of two people who had died and one injured person from under the rubble. Residential and outbuildings have been damaged at two further locations.

On the night of 11–12 September, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia. Two people were killed in the attack and four others were injured. One residential building was destroyed, and a fire broke out at the scene, covering an area of around 150 square metres. Rescue workers recovered the bodies of the two deceased and one injured person from the rubble.

Two people were killed in the rubble

The most severe consequences of the Russian attack were recorded in one of Zaporizhzhia’s residential areas.

As a result of the strike, there was a residential building has been destroyed, after which a fire broke out covering an area of approximately 150 square metres.

During the search and rescue operation, emergency services freed the bodies of the two victims, as well as one casualty who was trapped under the rubble.

In general, it is known that four injured people. They are being given the necessary medical care.

Two more sites have been damaged

A Russian attack also caused damage at two further locations in the city a private residential house and an outbuilding.

Fires also broke out following the strikes.

Rescue workers have extinguished all the fires. Units from the State Emergency Service, medical staff, the police and other emergency services were on the scene.

The full extent of the attack is still being assessed

Rescue workers inspected the damaged sites and carried out the necessary emergency rescue operations.

Information on the extent of the damage and the condition of those affected may be updated once the survey of all impact sites has been completed.

Russian forces continue to launch regular attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region using drones and missiles, targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure.
