Two UAVs struck Nizhyn: a warehouse and several houses were damaged

On the morning of 12 September, Russian forces attacked Nizhyn in the Chernihiv region with two attack drones. The strikes damaged a warehouse where food was stored, as well as private homes, outbuildings and cars belonging to local residents.

Two Russian drones struck Nizhyn

On Saturday morning, 12 September 2026, Russian troops launched yet another attack on Nizhyn in the Chernihiv region.

According to the National Police of Ukraine, the following was recorded in the city: the impact of two attack drones.

One of the targets was a warehouse. The building was damaged as a result of the attack. Food was being stored inside the warehouse.

Photographs released by the police from the scene of the attack show extensive damage to buildings and debris from the structures. Smoke also filled the area following the strike.

Private homes and cars have been damaged

The consequences of the Russian attack were observed not only in the immediate vicinity of the warehouse.

Damaged by explosions and debris private residential properties belonging to local residents, as well as farm buildings. In addition, vehicles belonging to residents of Nizhyn were damaged.

Police officers and other relevant services are working at the site of the Russian attack. Law enforcement officers are documenting the effects of the strikes and recording the damage to civilian infrastructure.

Russia continues to attack the Chernihiv region with drones

The Chernihiv region regularly suffers from of Russian attacks using attack drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles. Populated areas, residential buildings, businesses, transport and other civilian infrastructure are coming under attack.

A new attack on Nizhyn took place on the morning of 12 September. This time, Russian drones damaged a food warehouse and nearby private homes.

Law enforcement officers are continuing to work at the scene and document the aftermath of the Russian attack.
