Military experts will investigate the crash site

The Romanian Ministry of Defence reported that a fire engine from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and teams from the Ministry of National Defence had been dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire. The area has been secured.

Specialist units are to survey the area. Consequently, the nature and origin of the object have not yet been established.

What was said about the night-time attacks and airspace

According to the Romanian Ministry of Defence, its radars detected during the night drone attacks on civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine near the Romanian river border, in the north of Tulcea County.

At the same time, the ministry stated that its radar systems had not detected any unauthorised incursions into Romanian airspace during the night. In its initial statement, the ministry did not explain this nor did it establish a link between the night-time attacks and the object near Plauru.
