A night-time bout and a Netflix broadcast in Cardiff
Principality Stadium, where the boxing event will take place, has a capacity of around 80,000 spectators. The international broadcast will be provided by Netflix, and the organisers plan to start selling tickets on 9 October.
According to Reuters, the organisers have asked the city council to allow the boxers to enter the ring at 01:00 on 12 December local time — that is 03:00 Kyiv time. The late start is intended to suit North American viewers.
As of 8 October, the council was still considering whether to grant permission for the stadium to remain open until 03:30. The bout will be the first professional clash between Fury and Joshua following years of attempts to organise a fight between them.
