How many hours will there be a power cut in the Kyiv region on 3 November?

On the evening of 2 November, DTEK announced outage schedules for the Kyiv region over the next 24 hours. Restrictions apply to all six priority groups, each of which is divided into two sub-groups.

The longest power cuts are scheduled for sub-area 5.1 — a total of 15 hours and 30 minutes. Power will be cut off for 15 hours in sub-area 6.2, and for 14 hours and 30 minutes in most other sub-areas.

Duration of power cuts by group:

Sub-region Without electricity for 24 hours
1.1 14 hours 30 minutes
1.2 13 o’clock
2.1 14 hours 30 minutes
2.2 14 hours 30 minutes
3.1 14 hours 30 minutes
3.2 14 hours 30 minutes
4.1 11 hours 30 minutes
4.2 14 hours 30 minutes
5.1 15 hours 30 minutes
5.2 12 hours
6.1 13 hours 30 minutes
6.2 3.00 pm

Consequently, in ten out of twelve sub-zones, there will be no electricity for more than 12 hours a day. The shortest total duration of power cuts is expected in sub-zone 4.1 — 11 hours 30 minutes.

In some areas, there will be no electricity for more than seven hours at a time

According to the published schedule, for sub-zones 1.1, 2.1 and 2.2, power cuts are planned from 06:00 to 13:30 and from 16:30 to 23:30.

For zones 3.1, 3.2 and 4.2, a prolonged daytime power cut is scheduled from 09:30 to 17:00, followed by another from 20:00 to midnight. In addition, there will be no electricity from 00:00 to 03:00.

In sub-schedule 5.1, power cuts are scheduled from 02:30 to 10:00, from 13:00 to 20:30 and from 23:30 to midnight.

Such power cuts mean that some residents of the region will have only a few hours at a time to charge their devices, use household appliances and carry out other tasks that require electricity.

Could the power cut schedules change?

The electricity supply situation remains difficult due to the consequences of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure Ukraine.

On Monday, 2 November, emergency power cuts were already being implemented in Kyiv and the Kyiv region following an order from Ukrenergo. During such restrictions, hourly schedules do not apply, and the electricity supply may be cut off outside of scheduled intervals.

DTEK has warned that the schedules for 3 November may be subject to change depending on the situation in the power system. The company has promised to provide further updates on any changes.

You can check the current power cut schedule for a specific property on the official website of DTEK Kyiv Regional Power Grids or via the company’s chatbots.
