Ex-mayor of Odesa Gennadiy Trukhanov granted bail in case of participation in criminal organisation and illegal land acquisition
To the former mayor of Odesa Gennady Trukhanov he has been granted full bail in the criminal proceedings regarding his alleged involvement in criminal organisation and illegal land acquisition of the hromada. This was reported by Public.
The initial amount of the collateral was 30 million UAH, which Trukhanov had already paid. However, the court increased it to UAH 42 million, after which the former mayor was obliged to pay another UAH 12 million. This amount has also been paid.
The essence of the charges
The investigation believes that Trukhanov, together with other defendants, may have been involved in a scheme to seize land plots of the Odesa territorial community through a controlled group of individuals.
The final decision in the case will depend on further court hearings.
