Situation on the Ukrainian-Romanian border escalates after night attack by «Shahed» on checkpoint «Orlovka» in the Odesa region. The Romanian side reported that its surveillance systems recorded the moments of UAV strikes, that flew near the border.

According to preliminary data, the attack took place at night: the attack drones were sent in the direction of the ferry crossing that connects Orlivka with Isaccea, Romania. Information on the damage and casualties is being updated.

The Romanian authorities emphasise that Drones did not violate the country's airspace, but their flight and explosions were detected by radar and mobile observation points. Local residents report hearing explosions on the Ukrainian side of the border.

Ukrainian services continue to assess the extent of the damage and work at the site of the shelling. «Orlivka remains one of the key logistical routes for freight transport and humanitarian aid.
