The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on free «3 thousand kilometres across Ukraine»

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to launch the programme «3 thousand kilometres across Ukraine», which will allow each citizen to travel up to 3,000 km within the country free of charge each year.

Tickets and reserved seats for such trips will cost 0 UAH, except for wagons of class CB and high-speed trains Intercity - they are not included in the programme.

How the programme will work

The launch will take place in two stages from the moment the resolution comes into force, until 23 December 2026.

The government clarifies that the programme is intended to stimulate domestic tourism, support population mobility, and make rail travel more affordable for Ukrainians.

Context.

The idea was announced as part of the post-war recovery strategy. The programme will significantly increase passenger traffic and help people visit their families, work and travel around the country without financial burden.
