President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is considering several candidates for the post of head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. The main candidates are Vasyl Malyuk, Dmytro Kuleba and Andrii Biletskyi, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing sources in the President's Office.

According to the publication, the head of state wants to see either a professional diplomat, a military officer or a career intelligence officer with practical experience in war and international cooperation.

Zelenskyy is currently waiting for the final list of candidates. The final decision is planned to be made after personal conversations with each of the candidates.

Sources note that the selection of the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service is seen as an element of strengthening the security bloc against the backdrop of war, active international diplomacy and the growing role of intelligence analytics.
