Water supply partially disrupted in Kyiv due to power outage at water utility facilities
Water supply interruptions have been reported in the capital due to the lack of electricity at water infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the city water utility.
What we know
According to official information, there is no electricity supply at some critical facilities that supply water to residential areas.
They are currently without centralised water supply:
Pechersk district of Kyiv;
The left-bank part of the city.
Utilities are working to restore stable operation of the system. The exact timeframe for the return of water supply has not yet been announced.
Response of city services
The water utility urges residents to stock up on drinking water if possible and to follow the official announcements of the city authorities. In the event of a prolonged power outage, water delivery points may be deployed.
